This is a new mode for 16:9 (as they will stop changing the ratio of no screen?)

I want a 4096 * 768 screen, for the ultra mega giga wide cinema which is better for me because it is more natural for dumping of my eyes. (sic)
Seriously, on behalf of the convergence of formats, why is it that this should be the prevailing format TV on the office format? The films do not work on screen, what crap.

Because it has no interest to expand the height TV: TV content 4 / 3 exist soon.

Against by-side screens, software have a certain adaptability. I'm willing to bet that future versions of office software will offer to place all the toolbars on the sides.

There are also bars tools such as the sidebar of Vista or Google Desktop Search that can use this extra width even in software not for this format.

Moreover, should stop growl like that every time a large screen was announced: screens 4 / 3 and 5 / 4 still exist, are still produced, manufacturers continue even seriously out of new models. It's just talking about less because it is less "public", less "market".

On sale now (Rue-Hardware), there are still 257 still references 4/3-5/4 against 423 in 16/9-16/10, so those who want still widely 4/3-5/4 otherwise find their happiness ...

Above all, we must not forget that this enlargement is without loss for comfort in office: it is an increase in width, and no reduction in height. Indeed, before Wide, was the norm rather standard 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 in high-end, today we went to 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 standard in high-end ... In office, it's no longer vacuum on the sides, but no loss of height.
