Does the Sound Quality of speaker depends on Sound card?

Currently I have XPS m1330 with the normal sound card along with that i have Creative woofers and speaker and Looking to buy MY-Link 5.1 Surround PCI Sound card.
so please tell me the Good sound card will improve the sound quality of speakers? Is it really worth buying all Add-ons?

The sound quality and sound card both are interdependent to the some extent, i f you have good quality of sound card which must fully support to your system as well as good speaker as you mentioned above it will become an amazing combination and will result into an good sound quality.

A soundcard is part of your hardware. It can be on-board, that means integrated into your mainboard, or it can be extencial. It generates sound, that you can hear by usualy using some 3,5mm-stereo jack speakers or headphones. The sound can be music or special effects of films or games.
