Connecting to my screen

Hey, I have a Samsung Sync Master 940mw (rofl).

I've switched my monitor to my laptop - my screen is too small and dirty - but I only get a 800x600 background image or they will be on standby.

PS: It seemed more than perfect in original state, what do I do wrong?

You might think that your laptop has detected that the screen can handle more than 800 * 600, but that your laptop can not spit out more than 800 * 600 (although it sounds strange that it can not be more clear).

Puts you right up to the max resolution, or have you tried to take it step by step to see how much it goes off at?
