LG W2252TQ monitor makes fainting noise

I have recently purchased my new monitor, 22" Widescreen LG W2252TQ. I think my new monitor is faulty. Generally, the image appears to be good on the monitor. However if I move my head, shift my eyes from one side of the monitor to the other, I could see lots of very tiny black dots, which create a mesh effect.

Additionally the monitor has some preset settings, on quite a few of these settings the monitor makes a faint humming noise, which I've noticed can be increased or decreased when turning up or down the brightness control.

Is this common issues with such monitors or is my monitor faulty?

The fainting noise is quiet common on some monitors. Most of the monitors seems to be more prone to this type of problem. It usually happens after adjusting the brightness. Could be due to the power inverter. In my opinion, it is possibly some annoyance rather than any sign of failure.

I have never heard before about the black dots. Did you noticed it on all colours?

I've heard monitors that do such kind of noise before. However, the display distortion is strange. Did you installed the drivers?

The back dots are only noticeable when either shifting the attention from one part of the screen to the next, or while scrolling up and down pages.

I am using Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT graphics card with updated drivers.

I think its the pixel. May be your monitor is having it by default or, I am sorry to say that but, your eyes may be sensitive to it.
