your normal 2400 is not made to play in or 1024/768 (I think a 800/600 ^ ^) in low if you want to play it properly you need an HD 4830 or 4850 (top)

Your "stops on images" is simply that your graphics card (GPU + ram) does not have enough "power" to calculate what the game calls on the appropriate resolution and substance.
