Far Cry 2 on 7900 GS Graphic Card

A friend of mine stated that he can run FAR CRY 2 in high settings with his video card 7900 GS as he states that he was able to play Crysis in High End Settings with his video card. Can anybody cleary thi. Thanks alot for giving your time.

I doubt that your friend was able to play Far Cry 2 on 7900 GS card even with the latest QX9650 Processor. Otherwise he will be able to play Far Cry 2 at a not so very high settings, but with a loss of fps rate. What he can do is start by any means and see whether he can increase options in the game or not.

I did hear something that Far Cry 2 was very greedy in practice. can anybody please clearify this.

Actually, now he tells me that he was running Crysis on 20fps.

I have a Nvidia 7900GS installed on my Laptop (Toshiba P100).
CPU is a T2500 (2Ghz)
I play the game with most settings on Medium.
I had to turn shadows "off" (Through the XML file)
And downloaded the 180.43 Beta Drivers
And have slightly Overclocked the Card (400 GPU 450Mem)
I get 27-35 FPS.
Of course the people look funny, and the water looks grey.
Main Characters are fine.
