Hello out there
I am the happy owner of a Dell XPS M1730
Quick Specs:
2.50ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB Dual Channel RAM
2x Nvidia 8800GTX 512MB in SLI
PhysX card
300GB HDD
Full HD screen
Blu-ray drive
Windows Vista Home Premium.
But "feel" there are problems with graphics cards in it. It has started to lag a little bit of COD4 MW, is running with everything at the highest settings, as always, and there has just run as lubricated, absolutely perfect. But after the screen drills (showed strange colors, it gave me so orderly, it was just a screen plug in a cover just had to be printed properly in place again), I think that it is running extremely bad in the game.
Beyond that I had reports on the "error of video hardware" in the windows of reporting and solution center. Well, I updated the drivers for graphic card and it disappeared as the reports so. But still have the feeling that it is not running optimally.
My question is, there may be errors on my graphics card?
and / or is it possible to download any kind of program that checks "the craftwork," and see if everything is OK?
Just right before I called Dell...
BE JUST said to IT'S AN super Computer & IS CORRECT FOR THE HAPPY HOURS!
PS
FOR SLI-people!
In the "Manage 3D settings" in Nvidia Control Panel, there is something called "SLI performance mode" and it stands at "Single GPU"
But you can switch to "Force for the representation of divided picture", "Force alternating billed view1", "Force alternating billed view2" or "Single-GPU" (as it stands on)
MUST be on the "Single GPU"? Think more about 2 GPUs, now that there are 2 graphics cards in rig
Would like to hear from you, thank you for time and help in advance.
