    Upgrading 6600 GT

    Hello,

I wonder whether its worth investing in a HD4650 (AGP) to replace my 6600 GT, what is the Performance compared to a 6600 GT?

    My config:
    Athlon 64 3200 +
    MSI K8N Neo
    1 GB ram
    MSI 6600 GT 128 MB

    Thank you for your help?

I would not know that the 4xxx were in agp, good politics: yes:
The difference will be huge, now the rest of the config might stifle performance in the latter games: 1 GB of RAM is not enough nowadays but especially a single-core processor is totally inadequate (if we talk about Recent games of course): neutral:
Will be have to consider changing config: riva:

On the contrary, with a HD4650 will not be too unbalanced precisely (it remains far from a HD4850).
I had about the same config and for games like Oblivion your graphics card limits perf (while your proc still has a little margin), with the HD4650 you going to increase the resolution, activate some filters, etc. ...
For it is clear that against 512Mo/1Go RAM and more would not be too

Compared to your 6600GT yes, you will see a gain.
