NVIDIA has just put online the first beta version of its graphics drivers next-generation GeForce 180 drivers alias BiggerBang II (the code name). Among the novelties of these drivers, NVIDIA features several enhancements in performance with gains of around 15% for GRID, 38% for Half-Life 2, 9% for Unreal Tournament 3 or 8% for World In Conflict.
Along with the increase in performance, NVIDIA opportunity to introduce new features with support and remote, multi-monitor. The great novelty of these drivers generation 180 is therefore able to connect two monitors to an SLI configuration with the opportunity to exploit the two screens: a screen can be dedicated to the game while the other displays your favorite website. Best games multi-monitors as Flight Simulator X, World In Conflict and Supreme Commander Forged Alliance s'accomodent perfectly the SLI Multi-function monitor.
These drivers also benefit from the management of SLI PhysX to add a video card GeForce 8 / 9 or 200 series to any system and delivered to dedicate the PhysX. f this function existed in previous pilots, its implementation was flawed because there was a screen to connect the second card to activate the PhysX reported. This problem is now solved, and pilots from generation 180 support SLI rendering on future platforms Intel X58. inally, these drivers are optimized for Far Cry 2, the future hit (?) Ubisoft.
Available now in Beta version, the GeForce 180 drivers can be downloaded from the site of NVIDIA.
