What distinction for 22" LCD

I have a 22" LCD Samsung SyncMaster T220 and resolution in Win XP I have set to 1680 x 1050 pixels. But the text seems to me a little bit fizzy, it does not matter much. I tried to change the resolution, but the picture does not look so good. You I adjust the size of text without changing the resolution?

It can be changed through the DPI. Change DPI and the result should be reflected.
