Catalyst 8.7 driver version screen shot

Although in Catalyst 8.8 release note ATI mainly focus on introducing new Avivo video features and Hybrid Graphics for 780G,780D, but our test shows Catalyst 8.8 boost several new games a lot.

Assassin’s Creed raises 5FPS in 1020×1200, and Devil May Cry even boost 10FPS in 1680×1050. So if you are using HD4850 and currently playing one of these games, we recommend you update to Catalyst 8.8.

But in OpenGL part, we got some pretty spooky issues. In game test the performance keeps the same, but when we use Furmark to burn graphic card, the FPS, Furmark score and temperature all lower then 8.7 a lot.
