I want to convert a document that was created using Project 2007 to MS Project Professional 2003. Can anyone tell me how to do this thing, without asking the creator to save the file in Project 2003 format or so? Thanks for any help.

I have not heard of any addin for Project 2003 that will allow it to open a Project 2007 file. You can try to ask someone top open the file in Project 2007 and then save it as 2003 file. Then you will be able to open it in the Project 2003 format.
I came to know about a news recently that the Project 2007 to 2003 converter will be released on a Microsoft webpage with Office 2003 Service Pack 3.
I just got a Project 2003 file and then I edited it in 2007 and saved it as a 2003 file, but when I was trying to open it in Project 2007 then I was getting an error message saying that I was trying to open a file that is being created with a newer version of Microsoft Project. So, does this means that 2007 files cannot be saved in a 2003 format?
If I understand your question properly, then did you mean that you tried to open the project file in 2003 and got the message about a newer version? I dont have any problems with project files created in Project 2003, opened in Project 2007, saved as 2003 and then re-opened in Project 2003. There was some kind of problems with password protected files, which service pack of Project 2003 are you running?
Thanks for the reply, after when I posted my problem, I tried it once again and it worked fine this time. So, it seems I was doing something wrong in the first part.
You are welcome and Thanks for the feedback, I am glad that you have sorted out the issue.
