project 98 converter

I have some projects stored in Project 98 but i am using project 2007. I want to know if there is a project 98 converter which can be used for converting the contents of the projects. I have checked out Microsoft site but it seems as if they don't have one. Is there anyone who is aware of any such converter and point me to a site form where i can download it???

For that you will have to get a copy of Project 2000, 2002 or 2003. If you will open you files in any of these versions and save it then you will be able to open them in Project 2007 later without any issues.

I don't think there is a converter for that task and there is no need of converter as well. As far as i am aware you can open Project 98 files in Project 2007. You just have to change some security settings under Tools/Options and accept the use of macros. If you don't change the security settings and try open Project 98 files in Project 2007 then they will result in crash. There are many people who have tried that without changing the security settings and have faced crash, so don't repeat that and change the settings before you open Project 98 files in Project 2007, best of luck.

Yes there is no converted, you will have ask the person who sent the file in Project 2007 file format or you can do that yourself. Just check out the below article and you will come to know about the possibilities of opening Project 98 files in Project 2007.
