    Some tips and tricks

I’m on Windows XP with Microsoft Project 2003. Somebody told me that I can put the same task on two places if I want. Well, I want to do it now but I’m not able to get it done. I have a project organized by objectives and I need to put the same tasks under two categories and also they both should get updated at the same. Is it really possible? If yes, please let me know how? Many thanks,

Well am not sure about this as I’ve never did it personally but as per my experience you can have the same task name at two places but they are independent tasks and are treated separately. Also they wont be synced automatically when one get updated.

I don’t think it really makes any sense to get the same task at two places. Anyways, you can change the sort order or grouping of tasks. Is that what you actually mean? Different groupings or sortings will then move your task in whichever view you have applied.
