| Re: MS Project 210 Global.mpt file
Project local fields should be over-written by any fields from your Global. So, what you should see is the inherited file should retain its own formulas. What are your settings in File > Options, Advanced, Display for adding custom fields to Global? |

Thanks for the reply. The box is 'ticked' so that all new views, tables etc are automatically added to the global. Should it be? I want my inherited file to retain its own formulas for flags 1 - 5 not adopt the ones in the global. |

| Re: MS Project 210 Global.mpt file
It was a typing mistake in my earlier post: It should be: Project local fields should NOT be over-written by any fields from your Global. So, what you should see is the inherited file should retain its own formulas. I have the box unchecked as I don't want customizations from one file to automatically be uploaded. If I need custom fields, tables, or views -- I create my own template and leave the Global.mpt file free of all customizations. |
