Unknown delay in starting the second task

    I have a question:
I have 2 tasks which are connected through finished to start T1 & T2
T1 takes 16 hours to complete. T2 is successor.
the calendar time is 9 hours.
However the task T2 is not starting on the second day. Instead it is starting on the third day.
any comments on this could be really helpful

I'm not sure I follow. Unless you are working with something other than the standard 8 hour per day calendar, T2 should not be starting until the start of the working day on Day 3.

If you question is how to update tasks with do not start as originally scheduled, the Update Project command, Reschedule uncompleted tasks is the answer. But I sense there is something more going on than I am understanding.
