I have MS Project 2010 and i cannot activate the "Set Reminder" function found in the tracking menu. This used to work well in ver 2007.

You have to add this feature to an existing toolbar, please perfom the following steps:
1. Got to Tools/Customize/Toolbars
2. Switch to tab Commands
3. Select All Commands
4. Scroll to ReminderSet
5. Drop the toolbar button on a toolbar of your choice
6. Click Close
This way now you can add a reminder in your local Outlook as task with reminder for selected Project tasks from you local MS Project.
I can see the function button, it is not highlighted so i am not able to use it.
What version of Outlook do you have installed? I don't see any problems using Project 2010 and Outlook 2010. I cannot reproduce what you report. Is this a clean installation of Project 2010 or do you have other previous versions of Project installed?

I have the same problem, the button "set reminder" is not highlighted. I use MS project 2010 and outlook 2007.

My *guess* is that you need the same version of Outlook as Project in order for the Set Reminders button to work.
