Need help with settings up dependencies in Project

There are two task in my Microsoft Project File. Lets assume them as Task A and Task B. The first one here is takes around 90 days to complete while the second one takes around 66 days. Now the thing that I want to configure is that the second task must start after 21 days of Task A, and it must not end until the first one is over. I tried to work on dependencies but could found what I am looking for. The solution might be simple, but I am not able to work on it. I hope there will be some kind of solution that really works.

You can try to cut out the task in smaller part and then check back. I think you will need to bifurcate that and see whether it works well or not. You want to begin the second task after a time interval of first task, and then make it work until the first task is over. So there I think I am bit right. You have to create a lag days for the duration of second task. If we add the total duration of second task and the time interval needed to start then it goes to 87. Here you can assign the dependencies or simply add a milestone and move ahead. The process can be complicated in the start but you can try out working on the same and see whether it works properly or not.

I am confused with your question. You are trying to first initiate a task and then add a second one in the between and let it work until the first is over. You will need to play with duration here and then only it might work well. The most easiest thing is to start all the task together and linked it well so things goes fine. There will be no problem with the same.

    Hi,

Unless I'm missing something -- I don't see an issue.

Task B linked SS to Task A with a 15 day lag.
Task A1 linked SS to Task A with a 21 day lag.
Task B1 linked SS to Task A1 with a 15 day lag.

    I hope this helps.

    Julie
