Updating Actual Work From Excel Timesheet Data

We use a very basic spreadsheet to produce weekly time sheet reports by
employee. Each employee's hours are entered daily and then associated with a
task code and cost code. Is it possible to import to project and therefore
update actual work?

Re: Updating Actual Work From Excel Timesheet Data

Hi,

Yes.
Most people write a VBA procedure to do that.

Re: Updating Actual Work From Excel Timesheet Data

Hi Jan,

Can you share the exact process of updating project plan from msexcel with
some sample,we have a requirement where in the client wants to pull the hours
from "Sage MAS500 eTimesheets" and populate them into the Project server so
that it shows Estimated and Actual hours worked on a project. The pull from
eTimesheets is in an excel format.

Also please update about possibilities of the same in project server 2003
and project server 2007

Regards,
Prasanth.
