Project Guide Toolbar

I have a user that is using Project 2003 Standard and she is missing all the
links (Tasks, Resources...) on the Project Guide toolbar. The only thing on
the toolbar is the button to show/hide Project Guide.

I added/removed the toolbar. I tried to customize it. I have gone so far as
to uninstall and reinstall Project but that made no difference.

Re: Project Guide Toolbar

Try Tools/Options/Interface tab and select to Display Project Guide.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Re: Project Guide Toolbar

Further, at the right end of the toolbar is a small arrow for Add or Remove
Buttons - hover over this and select Customize... In the toolbars tab,
select what she needs.

I had tried to customize the Project Guide
toolbar but am not able to drop any buttons onto it (I can drop the buttons
on to any other toolbar though). And to your first suggestion to go into
Tools/Options/Interface tab and select to Display Project Guide, I had tried
that also.

Make sure that SR3 has been installed. You could try Help/Detect
and repair...

Re: Project Guide Toolbar

I discovered I had the exact same problem in Project 2003 and discovered the solution was infuriatingly simple.
Ensure that you have installed the Visual Basic components of Project. You can check if they are installed by going to Tools/customise/Categories/ and clicking on All Macros, which will complain if Projects Visual Basic components are not installed. Or try to select the VB Toolbar from view/toolbars. Modify Project with the install disk when prompted.
