Microsoft Project not counting weekends - Saturday and Sunday

I just want to know a way to create a project for the August month. So, I created the project with 31 days starting Aug 1. But the project was not counting the weekends and since we work both Sat and Sun, I want a project to show this as well. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this goal? Thanks.

If you have Project 2003 then Select Tools and change working time. After that select all the Sat/Sun in the month of August and then select "Non-Default Working Time" and put in the proper times. You will also have to run something in parallel or shorten a duration. So for that go under Tools >> Options and then pull the Calendar tab and then change the 40 hours per week to 56 and days per month to 31.
