What do you use to clean your lap top screen?

Hi,

Can you use water to clean my laptop? Maybe just a dry cloth? Dust and fingerprints has accumulated on a notebook computer. But I get the feeling different rules apply with a laptop screen. So I want to know what do you use to clean your lap top screen?Thnx for any info !!!!

I want to clean the laptop screen with the glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Whatever you do, dont use cotton (eg a shirt) or you can scratch the screen. I want to clean the rest with alcohol on a microfiber cloth, making sure not be runny. Could be totally wrong, however, so it would also ask any professional electronics store.

It is recommended to clean an LCD Monitor by wiping it with a dry piece of cloth fiber to clean your lap top screen, since the sensitive display is likely to scratches from dust particles. It can also be used on the keys and other surfaces of your computer. You need a soft cloth - old cotton, but do not try tissue papers or even shower towels as the fabric can scratch the screen permanently.

I wipe the laptop screen with a toy eraser for a mini chalkboard. This is a plastic handle with like material at the bottom. I clean glass sprayed on the cloth, not on screen, and wiped a few times too. Never use a paper towel, water, glass cleaners or ammonia to clean the screen of your laptop.
