lost ATSC tuner on ViXS PureTV

I have a Gateway PC that came with a VIXS PureTV ATSC + Analog tuner.

It was working great, MCE saw both digital and analog tuners and both could
be used concurrently.

I was looking into other Media Center apps, but decided to stick with MCE...
all the other apps have been uninstalled

Now MCE doesn't see the digital tuner! When I run setup, it only finds the
analog cable connection.

I've tried re-installing the Vixs video and tuner drivers from Gateway,
didn't help.

If I look at the filters with "graphedit" I do see the ViXS Pure TV Digital
TV Tuner.

Any ideas?
