QuickTime

I am using Vista Home Premium with Firefox as my browser. After downloading
the Quick Time update a couple of months ago I started getting the error
"Quick Time Plug-In requires the Quick Time system extension version 5 or
later". I have uninstalled both QuickTime and Firefox 5.0 and re-installed
and continued to get the error on every page. I attempted to uninstall just
Quick Time in hopes that using only Media Player would help, to no avail. I
want to use Firefox as my browser but the constant error message is
maddening. How can I fix this glitch in my system?
Thank you
Rhonda

What do you mean by 5.0? That would be a very old version of QuickTime (now
at 7.3) and FireFox 3 is still in beta.

Regardless this document describes the problem and solution see

I am sure I posted this information recently but here it is again. This is a
link to a Mozilla KB article about this problem and how to fix it.
