Yes Set it up for Set Top Box, and setup your IR Receiver/Emitters properly, and you should be off to the races. -- Gary Tsang http://www.gtsang.com Microsoft MVP - Windows Media Center http://www.microsoft.com/mvp "Juve" <Juve@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:72336F21-5460-4470-9663-7C8302171DD2@microsoft.com... > Is Canadian satellite tv distributor bell express vu listed in media > center > guide ? |

Hi Juve, I am also with Bell ExpressVu and am unable (after 3 days of trying everything) to get the Media center remote to actually change the channels. I get all the channel info and the guide works fine - but I have to use the set-box remote to actually switch channels. Does yours work OK? Any suggestions? Thanks, John. I use ExpressVu (East) as well. I can change the channel using the mouse click over the appropriate channel on the guide page, or with my MCE remote. This works fine with the IR blaster (the wire with the little red end piece on it that came with the remote). I have affixed it to the middle of the 3 little circle IR receiver ports on the front of my 3100. It is a little slow to change (2-3 secs) compared to a cable input. I don't have access to my MCE computer right now but you can get it to work. I have found it frustrating that MC guide downloads all ExpressVu channels, many of each I'm not subscribed to. If MCE changes to a channel that you are not subscribed to you must use your original ExpressVu remote and press the up/down button to get back to a usable channel. This is a pain if MCE automatically changes to record an NHL game on a channel you are not subscribed to and you don' t notice for a few days. You will miss all your scheduled recorded show. You can "edit channels" and "uncheck" the channels that you don't actually get but it is time consuming. Once you go through this, I would recommend copying the saved *.xml files from your EPG folder (hidden system file).
