Cannot load user's profile

Cannot load user's profile

For the past few weeks I have been getting the following message upon system
startup: "Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you on with
the default profile for the system." This message appears at every startup.

Additionally, it takes approximately 2 minutes after choosing my profile for
this message to appear (not long - I admit - but there was no waiting prior
to this problem).

I am running Windows XP MCE. Any help and suggestions greatly appreciated.

Create a new profile and delete the old one. Somehow it got corrupted.
