Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start

This is Windows XP computer and I’ve a Canon Digital Camera as well which is unable to start dependencies. Wheneve ri try to start the same it says “Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.” The problem is when I go to its properties and click dependencies TAB to right click the "service depends..." box but by doing this only a question mark appears asking me “What’s this?”

Can anyone help me with this? Thank you.

Did you install the software of the camera? You might have received a CD along with the Cam right? Just load the programs provided with the Cd it will work. I have the same camera and it works fine on my system.

Personally I have very bad experience connecting cameras to PC. Hence I use Card Reader to access my images and videos from the camera. It is much faster, easy to use and hassle free. So forget all those dependency services and buy a card reader for just $10. Enjoy your Digi Cam.
