UK: viewing cable via set top box (virgin media)

I need some urgent help setting up my Media Center on XP computer for Live TV through Virgin Media set top box. I’ve connected my set top box to the PC from the 'tv in' to the 'RF out' on the set top box. Now when I launch the “set up TV signal” wizard, I clicked elect cable TV, set top box,. But later when it reaches to “detect a working TV signal” screen, I get four options consist of enter channel, s-video 1, s-video 2, composite video 1, comp video 2.

I tried all of those 5 options but none of them worked for me, am not getting the working signal from any of them. I tried contacting Virgin Media for the same but they were unable to help me out with Media Center. Is there anyone here who can provide proper solution. It will be appreciated.

Hope you are using Analogue for signal input from STB to tuner card. By the way what type of TV Tuner Card are you using?

Hi IndrneeL. First of all you should know that S-Video should be better quality than Composite. Just check again your TV tuner card. See if it has either S-Video or Composite instead of RF. a Mac running EyeTV can use an EyeTV 610 box to directly connect to the Cable TV cable and get pure digital feed. You would also need a Dragon CAM and use your genuine Virgin Media viewing card.
