There can be some issue with media center. It is recommended you re-install that. You can try with system restore if that does not work then go in Event Viewer and check out detailed description on the error. There you can find support to deal with the problem. There is ample of information in Event Viewer. You can also troubleshoot a set of errors through that. |

I had faced that issue on Windows Vista while using a HP laptop. The problem lies with the driver. I was not able to find out exact issue of the same. I had tried to run Windows Update but still the problem was same. After launching Media Center within seconds it crashed with the error. I re-installed it from scratch and reconfigure all the drivers and software. It started working. |
