Media Center giving Decoder Error Message

Whenever I try to play a TV on Media Center I get a error related to decoder. I had added a extender in between and I think there is no need of any video encoder. The extender will just stream the live tv on my htpc. I am not able to understand that Media Center is asking about which decoder. My system is updated and there is no issue at all.

The issue can lies with some set of drivers in the system. The media decoder is essential to stream video files. It is necessary that you must still run windows update and look for appropriate audio decoders. It is important that you find media center specific drivers only and then try to check it back again. I am using a TV Tuner card and it is well installed in the system. I hope it must stream video properly.

I think there is no decoder support available for Windows Vista Home Premium. I tried to find a proper decoder but nothing is available on the web. You need to find a proper mpeg2 decoder and ensure that your TV is going to work well. That is the reason you are getting the error. Decoder is required to run and record live tv. Or else the video is not properly processed.
