I am having this problem as well. Did you figure out a solution? Same problem as what? If you give us the complete details in a new post, we might be able to assist. |

Maybe this will help as I seem to have the same problem. When I restart my computer (running Windows XP Media Center Edition version 5.1), I get a window that tells me "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available." There is a drop-down box that gives me the options of browsing for it at "c:\hp\tmp\src\setup\PSPrinters08" or "1". The box also has the buttons "OK" and "Cancel" No matter if I click on "OK," "Cancel," the little "x" in the upper right corner (to close the box) or either of the drop-down options, I get another box that reads, "Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product PSPrinters08. The Windows Installer cannot continue." So I close that box. Then the first box referenced above pops up again. This loop repeats about 5 times before it finally goes away. So how do I stop this from happening when I start or restart my computer? |

I just started having the EXACT same problem and I could not describe it more accurately.....So, Does anybody out there have an idea of how to fix this problem? Left to my own devices, my suggestion to myself is to completely uninstall the HP software and reinstall. The file it is looking for is definitely not on my computer -- I do not have a "tmp" folder under C:/hp. My printer works fine so I have no idea what has prompted this error. Please excuse my ignorance, but could you explain what is meant by 1) more information and 2) a more appropriate forum. In an earlier thread, CarolZ described in detail the error messages she was getting and I am receiving the EXACT same msgs -- What other information would be helpful? |

It would certainly us to help you if the problem and the problem reporting history were included in your post. As it is we have no idea what your are talking about. |

I don't know who CarolZ is or what "the EXACT same problem" may be, but I do know we need more info to help. Offhand this doesn't sound like a Media Center issue, you might want to consider reposting on a more appropriate forum. |

You posted from a web forum that leaches off of Microsoft's NNTP servers, mainly to appear that it has more activity than it does. All we see in your post is what you wrote, we don't see an entire thread, thus the problem your talking about isn't included, so we have no clue what the issue is. And as Jaime stated it doesn't sound like a Windows Media Center problem, which is what this group discusses. |

Reply to all, I now understand why you wanted more information. I also agree that this is most likely not related to Media Center, so, thank you and, adieu. |
