I am jgetting the same error when I install also. I have not yet finished
installing so I am not sure who the software will behave. Hopefully someone
will get back to us.

Actually on one computer it installed but on theother it could not complete
installation. I will report back on how the software is running in the
coming days.

I have this same problem. During Setup I get "DRM Migrate EXE has encountered
a problem and needs to close," while the setup appears to run fine otherwise.
Details of the erros has drmupgds.exe as the "AppName" and drmv2clt.dll is
the "ModName". WMP works in playback mode and won't crash, but as soon as the
Media Library, Rip, or Burn is opened, a couple seconds and it crashes.

This may be exactly what you mean by ignoring it and working in the
background, but I've disovered that by jus moving it off to the side
everything in it seems to work perfectly, even ripping. I haven't attempted
burning though. It's an annoyance more than anything, though there must be
some feature it disables that isn't immediately visible.

RE: DRM Migrate EXE

Still waiting for some help on this. Thing is, when it crashes and i get the
error message, everthing seems to work fine if i ignore it and work in the
background but then all i can do is listen to music. I cant rip or sync any
devices.

I had the exact same problem, and I think it's solved.
Click on the link above, and you will be directed to a Microsoft
Support page.
The key thing that helped was updating the security component of WMP.

http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/...en/indivit.asp

When I visited this page and clicked on upgrade, an error message
popped out, telling to upgrade security components. After doing that,
my WMP11 beta is working fine. No problems with playing, refreshing
playlists, ripping so far.

I'm having the same problem with drmv2clt.dll file.

IE Crashes with the following message ->
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: drmv2clt.dll
ModVer: 11.0.5358.4827 Offset: 000d6d2c

I've tried - disabling rip in WMP11, uninstalled 11&10, cleared registry,
reinstalled, still get the error.

Faulting application wmplayer.exe, version 11.0.5358.4827, faulting module
drmv2clt.dll, version 11.0.5358.4827, fault address 0x000d6d2c.

I have fixed the problem on my computer by doing the following.

Open Explorer \ Tools \ Folder Options \ View \ Uncheck Hide Protected
Operating System files.
Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\
Made a copy of Indivbox.key and placed it in my docs
Renamed indivbox.key to oldindivbox.key
Restarted computer and deleted oldindivbox.key.
Created a new blank file (indivbox.key)

Now when i run WMP11 i don't get an error. Also tried uninstalling WMP11 and
reinstalling. Don't get the DRM migrate error. Also when i go to this web
page "http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp"
drmv2clt.dll doesnt crash.

Not sure what the implications are of deleting indivbox.key but i have a
backup of it anyway incase its needed. Got info about deleting this on the
following site ->

Re: DRM Migrate EXE

I've tried doing what you've suggested but that directory does not exist. Tried searching for the files you mentioned as well but there not on my computer even with hide protected operating system files unchecked.

I'm stumped can any one help ?

then I went to http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/...en/indivit.asp
