| Video Decoder malfunction or not installed
When I try to enter Live TV, I get an error that says my video decoder is either not installed or has malfunctioned. How can I check this further? Am I missing something. |

Hi ding, Select Start>Run (in Windows) and type in the following: dvdupgrd /detect This will tell you what DVD decoders are installed on your system. MCE2005 needs a newer decoder than other versions of MCE - try: http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/WinDVD_Download.jsp http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html Terry "ding14" <ding14@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:EE45CFB5-70E5-4DB7-9C6B-A6F7EF1FAE29@microsoft.com... > When I try to enter Live TV, I get an error that says my video decoder is > either not installed or has malfunctioned.
