Video Decoder malfunction or not installed

When I try to enter Live TV, I get an error that says my video decoder is
either not installed or has malfunctioned. How can I check this further? Am
I missing something.

Re: Video Decoder malfunction or not installed

Hi ding,

Select Start>Run (in Windows) and type in the following:

dvdupgrd /detect

This will tell you what DVD decoders are installed on your system. MCE2005
needs a newer decoder than other versions of MCE - try:

http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/WinDVD_Download.jsp
http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html

Terry
