no sound from laptop to TV with HDMI (HP with Windows 7)

Hi everyone,
I have a question. I am trying to find out what happen with my "no sound from laptop to TV with HDMI (HP with Windows 7)". I read through other threads and I could not find any answers. I also have a Dell Windows 7 that works totally fine without even changing any settings. Can someone please help? Thank You!

First let me know about the device which you are using. What HP model laptop you are using. Just check whether the port which you have connected is working or malfunctioned. I will advise you to connect the HDMI cable to any other port and then check whether this is working for you or not. Also if possible then check the HDMI cable also which might not be functioning. So if you can then go through all these step and see whether this is working for you or not.

Hi Nutty,
Thank You very much for your help. I downloaded the software suggested by the other threads that's related to my problem. It's working now, but then it makes noise it every 5 seconds like: "eck eck". Can you please tell me what's wrong with it?

There might be some loose connection with both the peripheral that is why you are getting the noise. It is better to check for the connection and tighten the same which will help you with the same. So if you can then go with the same and see whether this is working for you or not.
