| Cannot Watch Internet TV Using Media Center
I would like to watch Internet tv in Windows Media Center but whenever I attempt it I get a notice "Sorry Internet TV is not Available in Canada." I live in New York State. My computer clock is set for EST time. I have no idea why the media center thinks I am in Canada. My OS is Vista, SP2. Thank you. |

Check the followings:- 1]Time zone 2]Regional and Language Options control panel 3]Language set into the Internet Languages option 4]If the above are OK then rerun the Media Center Setup using proper US Zip Code. regards, S.Sengupta[MS-MVP] "Nissi1" <Nissi1@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2D1AC8BD-7357-49D9-98B2-AB12CC42569A@microsoft.com... > I would like to watch Internet tv in Windows Media Center but whenever I > attempt it I get a notice "Sorry Internet TV is not Available in Canada." > I > live in New York State. Good evening S. Sengupta, Thank for your assistance. Everything in Regional and Language Options are as they should be. However, I looked through the setup option in Media Center and nowhere did I see an option for zip codes. The setup in Media Center which I came across referred to the type of monitor, plug, etc. Will you please direct me to the area to which you referred? Thank you. -- "S.Sengupta" <ssengupta_@msn.com.invalid> wrote in message news:eMlE3QgfKHA.2780@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... In my Vista version of WMC, unfortunately there is not a Zip Code selection. There are 2 sections in WMC's setup: 1. Required Setup: WMC checks components like networking and internet connections. a. Privacy Statement b. Help Improve WMC c. Enhanced PLayback 2. Optional Setup a. Optimize how WMC looks on your display b. Setup your speakers c. Setup your music, pictures and videos library However, running the setup again, and again somehow got me out of Canada. I now have 13 programs in internet tv instead. Thank you again. -- "S.Sengupta" <ssengupta_@msn.com.invalid> wrote in message news:erzfeXmfKHA.1648@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl...
