    Using WMP12 with DLNA

I’m having a Windows 7 system running with Windows Media Player 12. I want to use media player with DLNA but getting stuck every time while enabling Media Sharing. Actually as soon as I click on option “Turn On Media Streaming”, system get freeze and option turns gray and nothing happens.

I tried searching web but as am not getting any error message while doing all these stuffs, it is very difficult to get the appropriate solution on Google. Can anyone please tell me what’s wrong?

    Re: Using WMP12 with DLNA

I'm not sure of a solution to WMP, plugging in third party codecs is very tricky. The file has to be registered in its media library to be viewable but even then I recall add-ons not playing through UPnP. You could perhaps try messing with the custom mime type feature if you go to the media server/DMA compatibility page, try telling it that cr2 files are jpg and see what happens.
