Sharing Media on Windows Server 2008

I have Windows XP clients on a domain based network, have also got 1 Media Receiver and a Windows Server 2008 and all are in the same subdomain. I can use he Media Sharing feature of WMP 11 on the XP clients to watch the contents of Shared Folders on the Media Receiver. The Media Sharing Feature of WMP 11 is not activated or accessible on Windows Server 2008. So, will I have to install the Windows Media Services on the Server 2008 instead? Or will it be possible to use the Windows Media Player on the Server 2008 in the same way as on the XP clients. Any suggestions.

As a first step to enable these user experience features in Windows Server 2008, install the Desktop Experience feature. When you install this feature, the following components are also installed:

1. Windows Media Player
2. Media codecs
3. Windows Mail

I have already got the WMP 11 installed in the Windows Server 2008. The issue that I am facing is that Media Sharing Feature of the WMP 11 is not activated and also not accessible. So should I install the Windows Media Services on the Server 2008?
