| Windows Media Player not playing videos only colored lines showing
Media Play 11 stopped playing any MPEG-3 videos. When it opens I only see colored lines moving across the screen and not video. The videos play fines in all other type of players. |

Do you have a compatible DVD decoder installed on that PC ? Or is it an expired trial version of a DVD decoder package ? DecCheck can list the working DVD decoders : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Generally coloured lines in video can indicate a problem with the driver software for your video card. Updating the driver software normally helps, as these problems are noticed and fixed fairly promptly by manufacturers. Neil, Ran the program and had to reinstall some of the codec again. Everything is working as it should, Thank for the info.
