| Channel scanning in Windows Media Center (VISTA)
Hello I run Media Center, told him to work with cables and no Set-Top box, and defined in the guide my location. I see the TV Guide, I see the channels list, but i only see static noise (snow...) on my screen. Is there a way to manually scan for channels? Or have I done something wrong? Thanks Dror |

First thing to check is the coax connection, some tuner cards have multiple coax connectors on the back, only one it the cable input. Does that coax give you a good signal when plugged into a standard TV? Are you sure the signal type is a match - i.e., it is an analog signal from the cable company and you are plugging into an analog card? -- James Orlando (Goofy says "Hey"), Florida "dror" <sternberg.dror@gmail.com> wrote in message news:17474185-707d-4bcb-92e8-72e3aabc157c@s50g2000hsb.googlegroups.com... > Hello > I run Media Center, told him to work with cables and no Set-Top box, > and defined in the guide my location. > I see the TV Guide, I see the channels list, but i only see static > noise (snow...) on my screen. > > Is there a way to manually scan for channels?
