windows media center recorded television playback video error

I am using windows vista and recording television shows using media center. I
normally do not have a problem watching the recorded tv programs but once and
a while I have a program that has been recorded but it will not play back and
I get this error message. Video Error
Files needed to display video are not installed or not working correctly.
Please restart windows media center or restart the computer.
I have restarted media center and restarted the computer but the video file
will still not play. I have other shows recorded and they play fine.
If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it .

There are a couple of groups and websites dedicated to Media Center
which might be better places to ask.

It sounds to me like your media center's MPEG encoder/decoder (for
DVR-MS files) is hosed, but I don't know enough about media center to
be sure.
