My system runs windows vista and I have set up media sharing to my PS3 and most of the files withing "My Music" or "My Videos" folders work without any issue. However, there are some more folders on my other system running windows xp and i can access those files through my Vista as i have mapped it a Network drive with my windows xp system. I am here to know if there is a way by which i can grant access to PS3 for accessing my PS3 to access offline folders as well or not? Currently i can see the files from PS3 in offline folder but i get an error message saying "media server error 80710028" when i try to play them.

Since PS3 supports UPnP, i think you will have to enable UPnP on your system running window xp after that your PS3 should be able to see windows XP system as a music server.
