Vista-Cannot view stream on full screen

Can someone help me? I am new to Vista and when I try to view a live stream
(I have been viewing for 4+ years in XP) I tell Media Player to play full
screen or 200% and I get a black screen. I just purchased another laptop
which has Vista Home Premium.

Thanks.

RE: Vista-Cannot view stream on full screen

It is not just streaming it is all video. Classic player does not have the
problem.

On streaming the web site has a preferred WMP only setting!!

Re: Vista-Cannot view stream on full screen

So all three of you having this problem have the exact same Intel Graphics
Media Accelerator and the exact same driver version.

Could you go back to Intel's website and get the updated version? I see
that version 7.14.10.1364 is out. Does that work for you?

Re: Vista-Cannot view stream on full screen

zachd,

I have updated the driver to version 7.14.10.1364.

There is no change, I'm still unable to view streaming video in 'Full
Screen' mode, the audio is fine, just a black screen.

Any further assistance would be appreciated.

Cheers

Re: Vista-Cannot view stream on full screen

I have managed to find a solution to this problem. (Works For me.)

I have gone back to the Video driver version 7.14.10.1280

I remembered Windows Automatic Updates offered a new version of driver a
couple of weeks ago (ver 7.14.10.1350), because of the Christmas break I
haven't been using any streaming services , so I hadn't noticed the problem.

I hope this helps others.

Cheers

Finally Solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the help Zachd and Bakerboy60.
The problem was with the Driver 7.14.10.1350 Date 18/10/2007(may be has some conflict with WMP11).
So as Bakerboy's done: I uninstalled the new driver and installed the older one7.14.10.1280 which completely works well with any size of play either online or offline

cheers.............

Re: Vista-Cannot view stream on full screen

You need to take this to your PC or Intel support so they can deal with this
effectively - if anybody else is running into this too, they too would need
the fix. =\
