Digital Copy Protection Error when playing DVD

I have Vista Home Premium.
When I try to play a DVD using Windows Media Player, the following error
appears and I cannot play the DVD.

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with
digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try
installing an updated driver for your video card."

I've contacted HP but they are clueless. Anyone can help?

How is the PC connected to your monitor? What video card do you have from
what vendor? I seem to recall nVidia (?) hadn't properly signed their
drivers a little while ago...
