WMP11 Really wont connect to my xbox 360

Hi there, I stumbled across this site yesterday in search of a solution to connect my xbox to my pc via WMP11. Once i had browsed this site i was certain one of the methods listed on here would work but i can honestly say i think i have tryed everything listed! Even some solutions on microsofts website i have tryed! Nothing seems to work.
Like i said i have tryed many things to name a few check most services i think you need running
*windows media player share network service
*universal plug and play host
*SSDP

I have also tryed tunring off WindowsMediaPlayerSNS deleted the contents of DRM and turning it back on. didnt seem to do anything.
Thats just to list a few things.

Im running the connection like this

(Wireless router)
|
(PC via PCI wireless card)
|
(Ethernet Cable)
|
(Xbox 360)
I dont know if this matters!
Im not a computer guru, lol!
I Do not have xbox live connected either.
When i turn on my xbox my computer recognises there is a connection,
even WMP11 recognises it in the share media option.
So you would think it works!
I then go in to my xbox settins go to
- pictures
-Connect
-yes continue
-then it cant find it so it does the connection test.

when doing this it recognises there is a wired connection but it then goes on to ip-FAILED.
Does in like my problem, i have scartching my head looking for answears fopr ages!
Any help would greatfully appreciated! If i have not been clear enough just ask an di wil try to explain my self!
