Creative Zen Vision M not recognised

I can not get my Creative Zen Vision M to be recognised properly by my pc. I
have tried numerous solutions to this via the creative forums and from their
customer support teams all to no avail. It just keeps coming up with the
found new hardware wizard as opposed to automatic recognition like it does
with my camera.

I have found this incredibly frustrating over the past 3 weeks (I even
returned the player to get a replacement) and I am at the end of my tether
with it now.

After getting a computer maintenance guy to check my pc it appears the
problem is with Windows Media Player. I had version 9 and that has upgraded
to version 10 via the software that came with the zen.

I have tried to uninstall WMP 10 but after I reboot and go into WMP again it
opens up with a window saying it is upgrading to P10.

How do I remove WMP from my machine so that I can re-install it again in the
hope that the zen will then be recognised properly?

Re: Creative Zen Vision M not recognised

Given that data, you would want to use the System Restore point that WMP
created when WMP10 was installed.

RE: Creative Zen Vision M not recognised

I am having the same frustrating problem. WMP11 doesn't recognize my
Zen Vision M ---- AT ALL !!!! Not even listed as a device on my systems
list. What in the world is going on? Does anyone have a fix please. Does
anyone support this software or is it just thrown out there in non working
shape and let the users figure it out. What a waste of time.

Sorry for venting my frustrations, but have been trying for a long time to
get this to work properly.
