WMP11 cannot delete library

I update my windows media player 10 to wmp 11 today by auto update. I cannot
add music or delete the songs from the library. I tried this from microsoft
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925718/en-us but still it does not work. I
have windows xp media center edition 2005.

Try following the instructions from Zach (the Microsoft employee who used to
post in this newsgroup)'s website at
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary to delete your library database
files (not your library media files).

I was also having problems with WMP11 library and the symtoms I was
experiencing were very similar to those listed in the above referenced
Microsoft support article (925718). And like Louis P I also found that the
advice in this article was useless!

So I followed the link from Dale, read the advice and performed the
following steps:
- closed WMP
- used Windows explorer to find and delete the following file
"%userprofile%Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media
Player\Currentdatabase_360" (note: you will need to set the folder to show
hidden files and folders)
- opened WMP and closed it again
- reopened WMP and let it rebuild the library from scratch

So far it appears to have resolved my problem. Time will tell of course but
so far so good. Thanks for your help.
