ehRecvr.exe Application Error after upgrading to WMP11 Final

I've been using the Beta of WMP11 since it came out with no problem
whatsoever. Today, 10/31/06, I downloaded the final release of WMP11 and
installed.

Once I restarted my computer (Running Windows Media Center 2005 with ALL
Updates as outlined in the Readme for WMP11), every few seconds I kept
getting an Application Error for ehRecvr.exe. I did a System Restore and
everything worked fine again. I restored to a point before the Update Rollup
install and then installed that item first. Then proceeded with the WMP11
installation to only get the same results: ehRecvr.exe Application Error
every few seconds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm very eager to upgrade to the
final version.

I cotinued my search and found someone with a similar error during the beta.
So I tried what they did: check the version of "wmvdmoe.dll". Like theirs,
mine was version 7.*. They said they ugraded it to 8.* and it worked. So I
searched the internet and found the DLL of said release grade and copied it
to my system32 folder. And voila, the problem is gone.
