Error C00D11B1 (C00D2797) when trying to play DRM'ed WMA

I just installed Beta 11, but when I try to play some of my DRM'ed WMA files I get error C00D11B1 (actually I get a very non-useful error message). When I go tot the technical details on the webhelp page I also see error code C00D2797. Prior to installing WMP11 they worked perfectly on WMP10.

This is what you need to do! First step go to start, control panle , add/remove programs. Then click on the windows media player 11 and click uninstall! It will ask you if you want to rollback to the previous version. Say YES! Click it and you will be able to get media player 10 back. Note: once upon restart it will take a few minuets for your machine to load. Be paitent......your desktop will come to life. This will only work if you are using Windows Xp home, pro, or mediad addtion. If you find yourself stummped e-mail me @ microsoft13@adelphia.net. Be ADVISED I am NOT responsible for any data lose or computer problems, however, this will work....

Go to the \Documents and Settings\All Users\ directory
Rename the DRM direcory to something like DRM.old
Create a new DRM directory and remember to set the Hidden property on it

and click the upgrade option when available

Try some of the following options:
    • Check with Windows Update or the sound device manufacturer's website to see if there is an driver update available.
    • Check Device Manager if there is some mark on your sound device.
    • If you have never installed a sound device on your computer then try to install some and see if the file is playable.
    • If the file that you are trying to play is an MP3 file with compressed ID3 headers, then that might also be causing you the problem. Create a new copy of the file, and then use a non-Microsoft ID3 tag-editing program to remove or reset the file's ID3 headers.
