WMP11 plays .avi files only in black & white

Windows media player was working fine until yesterday but this morning it installed some updated and since than .avi files are getting played in black & white. I have reinstalled all codes to make sure that there is nothing wrong with them but it seems as if there is something else that is forcing Windows media player top play those files in black & white mode. Please help me to fix this issue.

First try updating you graphic card drivers and check out if Windows media player works fine after that. If it doesn't than install DivX Plus Codec Pack i am not sure but if it is due to codec issue than DivX will help you out.

This is not any issue with graphic card you just have to disable disabled "High Quality" option in Video Acceleration. I had faced same issue a week ago and simply disabling "High Quality" option had helped me out. You can go in to Options / Performance / Advanced / Video Acceleration and disable "High Quality" option from there.
