Re: Picture but no sound in WMP

There is no need to be like that Panzy and I really appreciate the help you
are giving me. I am just not computer literate when it comes to this sort
of stuff, but I'm getting there.

I have since learned how to do it using the software you recommended with
Windows, without the need to finalise anything.

It seems that Windows has two DVD burning formats when it comes to burning
film data and files onto a blank disc. If you choose the 'Mastered Format',
the DVD will play on any computer and on any standalone DVD player.

Here's how I did it.

Instructions/ Burning Downloaded Film Data onto a Blank DVD Disc/ Then
Converting it to Play on any Regular Standalone DVD Player.

1 Open Free Videos to DVD Converter V3.1/Choose destination folder.
2 Click which DVD format you wish to use/I use Pal (Europe) MPEG2 Vid/Then
click Next.
3 Step 2 - Click 'Add Chapters'/Choose the file(s) you wish to Burn/Then
click Next.
4 Step 3 - Click Next.
5 Step 4 - Click 'Only create IFO, VOB files'/Choose a destination
folder/Click Start.
6 Step 5 - 'Files Conversion'/Wait for this to finish.
7 Step 6 - 'files' Compression'/ Wait for this to finish.
8 This will show files as 'New DVD'/They will be in destination you chose.
9 Click Burn.
10 Insert a blank DVD disc.
11 Click 'Show formatting options'/Click 'Mastered' format/Click Next.
12 Click 'Burn to disc'/Click Next

Then you just have to wait until Windows copies all the files to the disc in
Mastered format. It does not take so long and when it is finished, the DVD
will pop out ready to play.

Having said that, I have copied your instructions because I still want to
try it your way as I obviously made a mistake in choosing 'data'.

I was also going to ask you, do you use any of the other free software
within this package? Could you let me know which ones that could be useful
in that package and indeed, what other programmes you have yourself?

But hey, let's not fall out over this and once again Panzy, thank you for
all your help.

Re: Picture but no sound in WMP

What you gonna do if your computer is stocked by VOB movies and
videos? Are you going to just delete them off your computer hard drive?
Of course you won't do that only if you have a Video to DVD Burner.

A step by step guide of how to burn vob to dvd

Hi Wendy/Brenda/Other multiple users of same computer,
Though the links supplied by this post-and flee visitor are
for viable software, none is free. And the post could quickly
be termed spam.
All the applications I guided you to are fully functional and
proven, and FREE.
There is nothing the paid for software can do that the freeware
cannot, importantly in some areas the freeware is better.
